Red Brick 5K Run: Miami University Scholarship

Each year Amber's friends and family work with the Miami University Recreation department and Phi Mu to organize the Red Brick Run to raise funds for a student attending Miami University from Harrison High School. Amber graduated Harrison in 2003 and Miami in 2007, just one year before the accident that took her life. Amber graduated with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Architecture.  She was a dedicated Phi Mu on campus.

If you wish to donate to the scholarship or run the Red Brick 5K run supporting the Amber Volk Memorial Foundation, please contact us!

We are proud to announce our most recent scholarship winners!

2014: Abigail May graduated from Harrison High School 2nd in her class, and is currently majoring in Zoology at Miami University, with a pre-dentistry focus. She is a member of Miami's Honors Program, Scholar Leader LLC, and a summer tour guide.

2013: Lauren Cron graduated Harrison High School 20th in her class and is attending Farmer School of Business at Miami University this fall! Lauren is passionate about marketing, philanthropy, travel, and culture. We were very excited when reading her application because her passions and enthusiasm parallel Amber's. We wish her the best of luck in her studies!

Special thanks to Ruchelle Dunwoody, organizer of the Red Brick Run through Miami Recreation! It is through her suggestion, organization, and enthusiasm that we are able to honor Amber in this way.
